Led by the singer/songwriter and actor duo of Kelley Nicole Dugan and Mina Walker, Daisy the Great navigates the indie space with a fearless level of creativity.
Sometimes the band goes indie pop; sometimes the band goes indie rock; and sometimes they just let go altogether. With that ability to go in multiple directions — occasionally all at once — comes the allure of Daisy the Great.
In their episode of Press Play At Home, the Brooklyn-based group shows off their genre-melding sound with mesmerizing harmonies in a performance of their 2021 single, "Glitter."
"It's about the freedom, and the chaos and the magic of being alone with yourself," the band explained of the song in an interview with Atwood Magazine. "It's about the courage and compassion of committing to seeing the messy parts of you as beautiful."
