Steven Tyler, Live Nation To Host GRAMMY Party For Janie’s Fund

One of rock music's shining lights, Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, has partnered with Youth Villages to raise funds and awareness for Janie's Fund, his charity to direct dollars to young women who are survivors of trauma.

On Jan. 28 the inaugural gala GRAMMY viewing party for Janie's Fund in partnership with Live Nation will take place at Red Studios in Hollywood, Calif. The evening will include a dinner, live auction, and the telecast of the 60th GRAMMY Awards — all capped off with a performance by Tyler and his Nashville, Tenn.-based band, Loving Mary.

Janie's Fund, named after Aerosmith's classic GRAMMY-winning hit "Janie's Got A Gun," raised more than $2.5 million since Nov. 2015 "to ensure that girls receive the most effective support available to help them overcome the trauma and pain of abuse."

"This gala is more than a night out, it's a break on through to the other side for these girls whose lives have been stunted," said Tyler in a statement, according to Billboard. "It's an opportunity to learn of the valuable work we will be doing to get them there. It's time to bring the awareness out of the darkness and into the light for these girls, for all to see."
