Alternative folk rockers the Strumbellas visited The Recording Academy's headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif., for an exclusive performance of their alternative chart-topping song, "Spirits," which the group recently discussed during a GRAMMY Pro interview at Lollapalooza in Chicago. The group also performed "We Don't Know" from their latest album, 2016's Hope.

Hailing from Toronto, the Strumbellas comprise singer/guitarist Simon Ward, singer/keyboardist Dave Ritter, guitarist Jon Hembrey, violinist Izzy Ritchie, bass guitarist Darryl James, and drummer Jeremy Drury. The group independently released their self-titled debut EP in 2009, followed by their first full-length studio album, 2012's My Father & The Hunter, which earned a 2013 Juno Award nomination for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year: Group.

After signing with Six Shooter Records, the Strumbellas released We Still Move On Dance Floors in 2013, which garnered a 2014 Juno Award for Roots & Traditional Album of the Year: Group.

Hope features 11 tracks, including "Spirits," "We Don't Know" and "Shovels & Dirt." "Spirits" reached No. 1 on Billboard's alternative songs chart, and the band performed the single during an April episode of "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert."

The Strumbellas kick off an international tour on Aug. 24, with dates scheduled through October.
