Saturday night at the Bluebird Cafe was already supposed to be special, but the crowd of about 40 people got more than their wildest dreams could have hoped for when GRAMMY winner Taylor Swift delivered a surprise performance.

The evening's headliner was GRAMMY-winning songwriter Craig Wiseman, known for penning hits such as Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying" and Kenny Chesney's "The Good Stuff," to name just two. As a tribute to the venue where she started her music career, Swift joined Wiseman onstage for acoustic versions of her hits "Shake It Off" and "Love Story" as well as the GRAMMY winner "Better Man" — which netted Best Country Duo/Group Performance honors for Little Big Town at the 60th GRAMMY Awards

"I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Cafe," Swift said, according to the Tennessean. "I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is kind of the only place where this exists — this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer's take on the songs they've put out into the world."

Swift's appearance was also being filmed for a documentary celebrating the Bluebird Cafe’s 35th anniversary. To christen the celebration, Wiseman brought out two shots of whiskey after recounting a funny story about taking shots with Swift during a CMT afterparty.

Swifts Reputation Tour with Camila Cabello and Charlie XCX kicks off May 8 in Glendale, Ariz. Ticket information is available via Swift's website.
