GRAMMY-nominated country singer/songwriter Thomas Rhett has officially scored his first No. 1 album. His third studio album Life Changes dropped on Sept. 8, and this past week it climbed to the top spot on the Billboard 200.
Rhett's No. 1 score is the first for a country album by any artist in 2017. The chart win comes a full year since the last calendar week that saw a country album top the Billboard 200, when Jason Aldean's They Don't Know was released on Oct. 1, 2016.
"Craving You," the lead single from Life Changes, features GRAMMY winner Maren Morris, and climbed to No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart and No. 1 on the Country airplay charts in both the U.S. and Canada.
Rhett's achievement is also notable as it marks the fourth consecutive week that's seen the Billboard 200's top slot being nabbed by and artist or band garnering their first-ever No. 1 album release, the previous three being Brand New, Lil Uzi Vert, and LCD Soundsystem.
