Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan continues to drop clues about the band's much-anticipated next album, but has yet to share an official release date.
Keenan, who also fronts A Perfect Circle, tweeted out that his GRAMMY-winning post-metal band was done recording the album, writing that final vocals were "tracked MONTHS ago" and the album is in "long process of mixing now."

The announcement continues to leave fans waiting to find out when they can get their hands on the long-anticipated fifth studio album. Tool’s last album, 10,000 Days, came out more than a decade ago, in 2006.
Though it’s not as though Tool has lain dormant—in late October of last year, the band confirmed a European tour, causing fans to wonder if an album announcement would follow. The band then announced in Dec. that it would be playing the Rockville 2019 festival, which will run from May 3 to May 5 in Jacksonville, Fl.
Keenan continues to create with A Perfect Circle; the group released their fourth studio album, Eat The Elephant, in April of last year. Most recently, they unveiled a video for the album’s title track the following October.
