Pop band Lukas Graham visited The Recording Academy's headquarters in Santa Monica, Calif., to participate in an exclusive GRAMMY.com interview and performance. The quartet discussed how they developed "7 Years" and how the song’s success has affected their career outlook, among other topics. Following the interview, Lukas Graham performed a brief set featuring tracks from their latest album, including "7 Years" and "Mama Said."

"It took three-and-a-half hours to write the song," said frontman Lukas Graham on "7 Years." "It's basically a life journey from a kid with a dream to a teenager with an even bigger dream on to the realization that maybe money and success [aren’t] really the goal in life."

Hailing from Copenhagen, Denmark, Lukas Graham comprise vocalist Graham, drummer Mark "Lovestick" Falgren, bassist Magnus "Magnùm" Larsson, and keyboardist Morten Ristorp (who recently replaced Kasper Daugaard). The group first gained fame following the 2012 release of their debut self-titled album, which peaked at No. 1 in Denmark on the strength of songs such as "Drunk In The Morning" and "Criminal Mind." The success of the 12-track album led to a touring stint throughout Europe and a deal with Warner Bros. Records in 2013.

The quartet released their U.S. self-titled debut album in 2015. Lukas Graham, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, features 11 tracks, including "7 Years," "Mama Said," "Happy Home," and "Take The World By Storm."

Lukas Graham are currently on tour, performing dates internationally through April 2017.
