Kimbra and Nu Deco Ensemble take the stage together for an energetic performance of "Top of the World" that will captivate your eyes and ears.

The single off the New Zealand singer/songwriter's 2018 album Primal Heart gets added drama as the orchestra adds its magic with its brass, percussion, strings and more. Kimbra said the remake and collaboration with the Miami-based ensemble, which likes to inspire audiences with its enthralling genre-shifting performances, was exciting to do.

"I couldn't have been more excited and honored when I was asked to perform with the Nu Deco Ensemble. Sam Hyken's interpretaion of my music was thoughtful and cinematic and, conductor, Jacomo Bairos was able to illicit such an amazing energy from the performers," she told the Recording Academy. "The entire experience gave me a whole new perspective on the music that I will always carry with me."

The song was a perfect one to get an orchestral redo, arranger Sam Hyken told the Recording Academy.

“'Top of the World' was one of our favorite songs from Kimbra’s incredibly diverse catalog that we knew we wanted as part of our collaboration," he said. "The grand nature of both the song and her performance not only lend itself perfectly for an orchestral setting but also helps highlight the full range and capability of our ensemble."
