DJs Alex Makhlouf, Jean Paul "JP" Makhlouf, and Samuel Frisch are Cash Cash, performers, remixers and producers. Catching up with Chicago Chapter at Lollapalooza 2014, they looked back on the pressures that came with not having trademarked the previous name they had been using as a band. "We had to come up with a new name," said JP. "Out of frustration I was like, 'Everybody's after all our cash, we don't even have any. We should just name this group Cash Cash.'" For some unknown reason, the name just seemed right and stuck.
