Interviewed by Pacific Northwest Chapter at Sasquatch 2013, members of Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeros were inspired by progress and teamwork in their musical creativity. Lead singer and co-founder Alex Ebert supplied much of the initial writing and developed the band's signature long-form videos, but as they grew and developed together, so did an emphasis on full collaboration and staying experimental about the creative process. They won a GRAMMY in Best Long Form Video at the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards (2012) for Big Easy Express, which they made with Mumford & Sons.
