Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser of Holy Ghost spoke with the Pacific Northwest Chapter at Sasquatch 2013, including their experiences as artists on the DFA label. Millhiser described their complex mix of equipment mixing online purchases with custom built and equipment he builds himself. "For us to do our best, we need to not have rules about what we have to keep, or we may just take away the vocals altogether, or it may just be vocals and a drum machine, whatever," said Alex Frankel. "We kind of treat it like our own song. For us, we think about them as working on a dance floor, so for them to be successful would be something that we could play out, or that our friends would play out and people would dance to."
