At Lollapalooza 2014, guitarist Jack Antonoff shared with the Chicago Chapter how his Bleachers project lets him express another side of himself, while he still continues musically with Fun. "The Bleachers album is almost like the diary that I didn't keep," he said about 2014's Strange Desire, which he followed up in 2017 with Gone Now. In hotel rooms and on buses, whatever scraps of notes and ideas come together have the option of becoming part of his personal Bleachers process. Antonoff's advice to young musicians is to learn to enjoy touring as soon as possible.
