"My mind is constantly spiraling with different song ideas and emotions. The spirals are what turn into beautiful songs," she says, referring to the Notes app as her creative lifeline. "It's always there for me; it's ready for me to start yapping into."
But the Notes app is just half the story. "The Voice Memos app is a whole other beast," she adds, revealing she still has the original melody drafts saved in her files. From lyrics to titles to vocal runs, Kate uses both apps to capture, track, and organize her songwriting process — proving that sometimes, the best studio is the phone in your pocket.
