Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitz & The Tantrums knows a thing or two about bringing songs to life since the whole band grew up around his original compositions. "Every song has its own path and that's what I love. It's never the same thing twice," he said, speaking with the Chicago Chapter at Lollapalooza 2014. "It's different from each song. Some of them start with me late night, creating a little idea … others, it's all of us jamming in a room, other band members bringing ideas." He believes in playing "every show like it was the biggest show ever," and creating a dance party that includes the audience.
