A gift from her grandfather in 2018, the instrument unlocked a new creative chapter for the Oakland-born, Nashville-based artist, whose heartfelt and introspective songs have built a devoted global audience. With its deeper tone and flexible tuning, the baritone ukulele offered mxmtoon a fresh perspective: "I feel like this instrument is really flexible and easy to approach."
