Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel, known together as the “darkadelic” duo Phantogram, stopped by the GRAMMY Pro lounge backstage at Lollapalooza 2014. The Upstate New York-based duo recalled the beginnings of their music career together, how they prepared for Lollapalooza, and their experience recording in a barn.
“It’s very desolate and kind of lonely, in a good way," says Barthel on recording in a remote barn in Upstate New York. "You've got a lot of time to create and your brain just kind of, at least for us, explodes with ideas cause there’s nothing else you could do or see.”
