At Winter Music Conference 2014, Florida Chapter and the Producers & Engineers Wing hosted The Producers Forum, moderated by DJ and producer Greg "Stryke" Chin, with a panel featuring BT, Cedric Gervais and DJ duo Sultan and Ned Shepard. In this questions-and-answers segment, the panel finds themselves immediately in agreement that artists can live anywhere now thanks to music-making technology, computers and gear. BT bashed Los Angeles as too full of meetings and now lives in the backwoods, but Sultan stood up for how the people who work in L.A. give you access to get a great deal done very quickly, all in one place. Gervais encouraged people interested in DJing to learn the basics about making people dance, and Shepard's advice to young artists was to be selective about quality over quantity, because a manufacturing attitude won't make your work stand out.
