Multi-talented actor Alejandro Rose-Garcia performs his bluesy Texas rock as Shakey Graves to critical acclaim. At Lollapalooza on Aug. 2, 2015 his performance was subjected to an evacuation due to weather, which lasted 30 minutes. In this episode of the Recording Academy's Buzzin' series, journalist Steve Baltin interviewed Graves about his set and his band's bigger sound. Baltin also asked whether he had "musician's handbook" advice for coping with different audiences. "Calling audibles is crucial, reading your audience, and then also just plowing through no matter what," Shakey Graves said, "because if it looks like some people aren't enjoying it or if it looks like other people are enjoying it too much, catering to the partying dude and assuming everyone standing there isn't enjoying themselves is just as bad of a move as not catering to party-dude."
