The Recording Academy is back with another season of GRAMMY ReImagined, a video series where artists bring a fresh take on classic GRAMMY winning/nominated songs by their favorite artists. The relaunch of the series features six new unexpected covers to be released monthly, kicking off with Shawn James. The blues/folk artist brings a passionate folksy cover of Macy Gray's "I Try," which won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance at the 43rd GRAMMY Awards.

"I chose to cover 'I Try' by Macy Gray because of the emotional heaviness of the lyrics," James shared.
