As seated, leftmost is Liz Rose, winner of Best Country Song at the 52nd GRAMMY Awards for Taylor Swift's "White Horse" and at the 58th for Little Big Town's "Girl Crush." Next over on the couch is Kristian Bush, whose Sugarland duo with Jennifer Nettles won them Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for "Stay" at the 51st GRAMMY Awards. You can see more of Mickey Guyton on her Instagram; she is best known for her hit "Better Than You Left Me" and is emerging as an esteemed member of Nashville's songwriter community. Bush discussed his challenges learning to co-write and meeting new people, and Guyton chimed in to thank him for the time he did exactly that with her and made her feel completely at ease. She also joked with Rose about the notebook Rose keeps while gathering material for songs from artists. "I just love the way people spill their guts," said Rose. "There is this unwritten, unspoken songwriting rule that we never talk about but you can tell secrets in a writing room and they never leave that room."
