In this exclusive interview with electro-pop group Sylvan Esso, the duo takes us inside the writing of their single, "Die Young," from their sophomore album, What Now.

"I'd really been wanting to write a straight up love song, but I believe that love in modern songwriting has been kind of dragged through the dirt," vocalist Amelia Meath says. "Everyone wants to write about love, and it's sort of been equated to everything. So I spent a lot of time thinking of how to write a love song in a new way, or how to express something new."
