At the 60th GRAMMY Awards, the Recording Academy acknowledged the roster of 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients. Trustees Award honorees were Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams. Lifetime Achievement Award honorees were Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. "These exceptionally inspiring figures are being honored as legendary performers, creative architects, and technical visionaries," said Neil Portnow, President/CEO of the Recording Academy. "Their outstanding accomplishments and passion for their craft have created a timeless legacy."
