A star-studded lineup of music education supporters turned out on Nov. 28 to honor GRAMMY winning violinist Joshua Bell and benefit music education in Los Angeles schools.

Bell, joined by fellow GRAMMY winners Chris Botti and Billy Childs, among others, came together for Education Through Music-Los Angeles' Benefit Gala at L.A.'s Skirball Cultural Center.
Music Educator Award: 2018 Finalists Announced
Hosted by "Mozart In The Jungle" star Malcolm McDowell, the event featured performances by Bell, Botti, and Childs, as well as Prince and Michael Jackson collaborator Judith Hill, L.A. Philharmonic pianist Joanne Pearce Martin, and students from James A. Foshay Learning Center and ETM-LA. The evening also honored veteran music teacher Vincent Womack.

Now in its 12th year, ETM-LA has grown from assisting two schools and 800 children to plans of serving 30 schools and approximately 15,000 students each week in diverse communities across Los Angeles.
