Metallica have made a career out of bone-crushing riffs, blistering solos, huge drums, and gritty vocals. So it's really no surprise that even when getting in the car for a spin on "Carpool Karaoke," it's metal horns all the way.

In a preview clip for their episode on the new Apple Music series, the GRAMMY winners and host Billy Eichner band turn the band's classic "Enter Sandman" into a road-rage jam, plus they show their mellow side with a gravely run-through of "Part Of Your World" from Disney's The Little Mermaid. And if that's not enough for you: You can watch Metallica rock up Rihanna's "Diamonds."
Lest we believe Metallica are turning a softer corner, the band — James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, and Robert Trujillo — is in the midst of a huge world tour, crushing stadiums and arenas from Los Angeles to Belgium. Of course, the band kick-started their year in high-octane fashion with an incendiary performance of "Moth Into The Flame" with Lady Gaga at the 59th GRAMMY Awards.
In the meantime, look for their "Carpool Karaoke" episode in full on Apple Music on Aug. 15.
