The song marks the first time Bush and Nettles have reunited since 2011 when their album The Incredible Monster was released. Both artists have released solo albums in the interim, but their latest reunion marks a return to form.
"It was really quite anticlimactic," Bush told iHeartCountry about the reunion. "We hung out in a room for the first time in five, six years and wrote a song and started in about 45 minutes. Exactly what you're hearing is exactly what we're feeling in that moment. What's this like? Where have you been? How are you feeling?"
Fans looking for more from the duo won't have to wait long, as Sugarland is scheduled to perform on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2018" to usher in the new year, according to Billboard.
