Calling all songwriters: the ASCAP I Create Music EXPO is back and jam-packed with wisdom. This year's lineup was announced today for the May 2-4 songwriting-focused conference in Hollywood, Calif., and, as usual, it does not dissappoint.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">We are so stoked to have <a href="https://twitter.com/wyclef?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">@wyclef</a> at <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ASCAPEXPO?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">#ASCAPEXPO</a> - he’ll be performing &amp; giving knowledge, guidance &amp; support to EXPO attendees. <br><br>You don’t wanna miss it - get passes here &gt;&gt; <a href="https://t.co/Dngsl4lTMY">https://t.co/Dngsl4lTMY</a> <a href="https://t.co/IeJ9GOcBWR">pic.twitter.com/IeJ9GOcBWR</a></p>&mdash; ASCAP EXPO (@ascapexpo) <a href="https://twitter.com/ascapexpo/status/1114283335558356993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">April 5, 2019</a></blockquote><script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Wyclef Jean leads the bill, and he will preform and share his knowledge with aspiring songwriter in attendence. Sondre Lerche, a singer/songwriter working in the realms of pop, rock, jazz and film music, will provide eedback to EXPO attendees on their original music. Also, Leland, who has collaborated with pop singer Troye Sivan, will lead a cross-genre roundtable on the craft of songwriting.

Sure to pack the room, the EXPO will include Ariana Grande's Songwriting Dream Team panel, moderated by Hannah Lux Davis, who directed Grande's "thank u, next" and "7 rings" music videos, and featuring Victoria Monet, fresh off the release of Ariana collab "Monopoly," and thank u, next and Sweetener producers Tommy Brown and Charles "Scootie" Anderson.

Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and "Livin' On A Prayer" writer Desmond Child will host an intimate master class, and SHOF member Jack Tempchin will share his hits like the Eagles' "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Already Gone" at the EXPO "Center Stage" Showcase. Back again this year, the "We Create Music" panel will feature Lee Ann Womack, GRAMMY-winning “Shallow” co-writer Anthony Rossomando and Pinar Toprak, the first woman to score a big-budget Marvel superhero film (Captain Marvel).

The EXPO will also present an inside look at how music creators can get what they deserve out of their film/TV music deals with composers Joel Beckerman (Super Bowl and "CBS This Morning" theme songs) and David Vanacore ("Survivor," "Big Brother").

There are plenty of additional newly announced panels centering on topics like the rise of emo rap, the global growth of country music and the evolution of music publicity in the playlist age.
