A Voice in Washington
The Recording Academy is the only membership organization that represents all music creators - songwriters and composers, producers and engineers, performers and musicians - and no corporate members. For over 25 years, our Advocacy & Public Policy team has fought at the federal, state, and local levels to protect creators' rights, secure fair compensation, and ensure that the people who make music have a say in the policies that affect their livelihoods.
From landmark legislation like the Music Modernization Act to fighting for AI transparency and fair radio royalties, the Academy turns grassroots energy into real policy change.
