On April 13, 2010, the GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards was held at the Liaison Capitol Hill hotel. This year's honorees were GRAMMY Award-winner Garth Brooks, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) and Rep. Darrell Issa (D-Calif). ASCAP President and Chairman of the Board Paul Williams served as the evening's emcee, while the guests were treated to performances by Nashville-based bluegrass band Jypsi; Wayne Kirkpatrick, Gordon Kennedy, and Tommy Sims; longtime songwriters for Garth Brooks; and Marc Roberge, O.A.R. frontman. This year's event was the largest in history with nearly 400 people in attendance.
