Madonna and Gorillaz will make their world debut performing together on one stage during the 48th Annual GRAMMY Awards telecast, The Recording Academy announced today. In keeping with the tradition of creating exciting "GRAMMY moments," GRAMMY-nominated Gorillaz will be joined onstage for the first time by worldwide megastar and five-time GRAMMY-winner Madonna in an exclusive GRAMMY segment. Gorillaz will appear in 3-D animated color for the first time on network television. They currently are nominated for Record Of The Year, Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals, and Best Short Form Music Video ("Feel Good Inc." featuring De La Soul) and Best Urban/Alternative Performance ("Dirty Harry" featuring Bootie Brown).

Newly announced presenters include current GRAMMY nominees pop vocalist Michael Bublé (who also will be featured in a performance during the GRAMMY Pre-Telecast ceremony) and rapper/actor Common; as well as last year's GRAMMY host Queen Latifah, Academy Award® Nominee Matt Dillon and rapper/actor Ludacris.

These superstar artists join previously announced performers Mariah Carey, John Legend and Kanye West — all with eight nominations each; Bruce Springsteen; U2 and Mary J Blige; Coldplay; Faith Hill and Keith Urban; Christina Aguilera and Herbie Hancock; Sugarland; Jamie Foxx with Kanye West; an all-star tribute to Sly And The Family Stone featuring Maroon 5, Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas, Robert Randolph, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Joss Stone and John Legend; and current two-time nominee Hezekiah Walker & Love Fellowship Choir join Mariah Carey. Previously announced presenters include Big & Rich, Tom Hanks, and Terrence Howard. Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon. 

The music industry's premier event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
