From Aug. 21 to 25, the Recording Academy offered new member opportunities to hear directly from key Academy leaders, spark new connections with our creative community, and learn how to make the most of one's membership.

For the kick-off event, new members joined Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason jr. in conversation with Keke Palmer to hear about the latest Academy happenings and the role they play in strengthening our membership and shaping music's future.
The Texas Chapter held an informational virtual session — complete with a Q&A — about membership with both the Recording Academy and Latin Recording Academy, how the sister organizations work together, and the Awards processes.
A conversation titled "What To Know About Membership & Advocacy" was held by Todd Dupler, Vice President of Advocacy & Public Policy at the Recording Academy, as well as Michael Lewan, the RA's Managing Director of Advocacy & Public Policy.
Another compelling conversation was held regarding allyship — spearheaded by Ricky Lyon, the Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the Recording Academy.
