**ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AIMS TO ELEVATE THE NEXT GENERATION OF BLACK MUSIC CREATORS THROUGH A COMPREHENSIVE INTERNSHIP AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS**
**SANTA MONICA, CALIF. (OCT. 25, 2022) —** The Recording Academy®'s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) team along with the GRAMMY Museum® have selected **Malcolm Bryant (Middle Tennessee State)**, **Craig Fleming (Howard University)**, **Daniela Alejandra Garcia-Escobar (The New School)**, **Jasmine Gordon (Spelman College)**, **and Chantal Esi Greaves (University of Miami)** as the recipients of the **Quinn Coleman Memorial Scholarship**. The scholarship, [announced last year](https://www.grammy.com/news/quinn-coleman-scholarship-fund-will-support-new-generation-black-music-creators), was named in honor of the late music executive and DJ [Quinn Coleman](https://longlivequinn.com/obituary), who died at just 31 in August 2020. After his tragic passing, his family set up the [Quinn Coleman Memorial Scholarship](https://grammymuseum.org/support/quinn-coleman/) through the GRAMMY Museum. It is a financial scholarship and comprehensive internship program that aims to eliminate barriers in the music industry by providing professional development opportunities to help prepare students for full-time employment.

These five deserving students will carry on Quinn's legacy of inclusion, excellence and dedication to the field of music. Congratulations!" said Debra Lee, Former Chairman & CEO, BET Networks and mother of Quinn Coleman.
Each of the five recipients will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship, two $250 book/equipment stipends, a $500 interview prep stipend, financial and emotional wellness seminars, spring internships at the Recording Academy or Latin Recording Academy® that will begin Jan. 9, 2023, as well as spring career development seminars.
The recipients are from different cities across the country with varied interests in pursuing a career in music. Bryant is a senior at Middle Tennessee State in Nashville interested in audio production; Fleming is a junior at Howard University in Washington, D.C., interested in audio production; Garcia-Escobar is a junior at The New School in New York interested in jazz voice; Gordon is a sophomore at Spelman College in Atlanta interested in marketing; and Greaves is a junior at University of Miami in Florida interested in music industry media management.
