Special Merit Awards Ceremony The Recording Academy will present the Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring lifelong artistic contributions to the recording medium, to Julie Andrews, Roy Haynes, Juilliard String Quartet, the Kingston Trio, Dolly Parton, Ramones, and George Beverly Shea; the Trustees Award, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the industry in a non-performing capacity, to Al Bell, Wilma Cozart Fine and Bruce Lundvall; and the Technical GRAMMY Award, honoring an individual's and/or corporation's outstanding contributions of technical significance to the recording field, to Roger Linn and Waves Audio Ltd.
The 53rd Annual GRAMMYAwards will be held live at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 13 and broadcast at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the CBS Television Network. |
