On June 22, 2009, the Atlanta Town Hall was hosted by The Recording Academy's Atlanta Chapter.Participants included Reps. John Conyers Jr. (D-Mich.), Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) and Shelia Jackson Lee (D-Texas), George Clinton, Rymefest, Dionne Farris, Peter Stroud, Johnny Colt, Jimmy Patterson, Kendall Minter and the Recording Academy's Daryl Friedman.
